Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician who served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country's first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. Nelson Mandela strongly believed in the power of education to transform individuals and the world. He famously said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” emphasizing its role in personal development and societal progress. He also highlighted education as a tool for overcoming limitations and achieving one's full potential, stating, “Education is the great engine of personal development. It is through education that the daughter of a peasant can become a doctor, that the son of a mineworker can become the head of the mine”.
